AN ORGANIZATION ALREADY PRESENT IN VENEZUELA SINCE 2019<\/h3>\r\n
\r\n\r\nDoctors of the World has been active in Venezuela since 2019 through humanitarian action and community health programs. In the first hours following the earthquake, the organization conducted a rapid needs assessment in coordination with local organizations, affected communities, and other humanitarian actors to identify intervention priorities.\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n

URGENT NEEDS IDENTIFIED ON THE GROUND<\/h3>\r\n
\r\n\r\nThe first hours after the earthquake identified several priority needs:\r\n

  • Rescue and recovery<\/strong> of buried or at-risk individuals<\/li>\r\n \t
  • Emergency medical care<\/strong> for the injured<\/li>\r\n \t
  • Emergency shelter<\/strong> for displaced persons<\/li>\r\n \t
  • Psychosocial support<\/strong> for traumatized populations<\/li>\r\n \t
  • Restoration of health services and access to water<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\u201cAt this moment, our priority is to support those affected by this emergency, particularly those in the most vulnerable situations.
