Give a few hours a week alongside our teams and take part directly in the mission of Médecins du Monde Canada, with training and day-to-day support.

About the mission

As a volunteer with Médecins du Monde Canada, you contribute to unconditional access to health care, alongside physicians, nurses, social workers and peer workers, in a harm-reduction, non-judgmental approach centred on dignity.

Your role

  1. Welcome and support people far from the health-care system.
  2. Work hand in hand with the team present on site.
  3. Guide people toward the right resources and services.

Who we are looking for

  • Availability of a few hours per week, on a regular basis.
  • Listening skills, discretion and a non-judgmental approach.
  • French / English bilingualism (an asset).

What we offer

  • A welcome session and training before your first shift.
  • Day-to-day support from the team on the ground.
  • An interdisciplinary team and exchanges within the MdM network.
