Space and
humanitarian crises.

In collaboration with local actors, Médecins du Monde provides a quality and participatory response for people affected by crises, in accordance with humanitarian principles and the protection of healthcare and humanitarian personnel.

Our position

Providing care should never be an act of resistance.

Armed conflicts, food insecurity, and climate change: humanitarian crises are multiplying and lasting longer, while the space to intervene is shrinking. Médecins du Monde Canada works on the front lines to protect the medical mission and ensure respect for humanitarian principles, in close collaboration with local actors.

Our organization documents the restrictive measures imposed on humanitarian organizations and strengthens the protection of healthcare personnel, particularly local staff, to save lives and preserve the dignity of people affected by crises.
