Mental Health and Marginalized Persons: Beyond Access, How to Truly Reach Them?
Wednesday, May 4, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Maison du Développement Durable, also streamed on Zoom (hybrid mode)
Theme
While not all marginalized persons experience mental health disorders, the majority endure significant suffering due to isolation and traumatic events they have experienced. When they find the courage to seek help, disenfranchised persons often face numerous obstacles that limit their access to the care they need and to which they are entitled.
Mental health care for marginalized persons must promote an approach focused on understanding and support, fully considering the individual’s experience, the complexity of their journey, and what they want for themselves. It is essential to create a bridge between these individuals and the health system that fosters dialogue and the co-construction of care.
Don’t miss this event, which will introduce you to innovative solutions and approaches that enable truly reaching them.
